About DVC Life

Much like the stories of other Disney fans, it all started with a first vacation to Disney World, and then it got serious! Disney for us has been a place where a family like ours (larger than your typical household) with ages ranging from early elementary to college could be together and have truly shared experiences in a family friendly environment.  When the baby of the family, the tweens, teens and college kids and grown folk are all having a laugh together, that's when you see the magic of Disney, and there's so much more.

We saw the Disney Vacation Club (DVC)  information booths, but it wasn't until our 3rd trip that we really gave it serious consideration.  Like most folks, we thought of it as more of "wouldn't that be nice," type of thing than anything else, but then we started doing the math, taking inventory of our life priorities,  we ultimately took the plunge and became DVC members - first through the resale market, and then later on direct.  Not to belabor the math or finances, but for us we asked ourselves when spending time together as a family and adult couple (a primary life priority), to facilitate that would we: invest in a boat, camper, cabin or other vacation property?  Would we invest in expanding our current home or do something else?  We decided that any of those would have their own financial and other requirements just like a DVC membership, but for a number of reasons that we may explore in this blog, we decided that the DVC Life was for our family.
